Heritage & Traditional Folk Arts:

All Omanis have a high regard for their heritage despite the diversity of their subcultures. This reverence reflects their roots and identity. This respect for their heritage gives an impression of a link to their past and reinforces their cultural character. In this regard, Muscat Festival deals with or draws attention to expressions of Omani heritage, particularly in the indigenous village and city in Qurum National Park where visitors could enjoy folk arts and handicrafts, learn about Omani lifestyles, and the various architectural motifs in rural areas, coastlines, and deserts. It is an excellent journey through an environment filled with incense and frankincense perfume. Visitors can also enjoy Omani folk songs to the rhythm of the drums. They can take pleasure observing Omani hands creating handicrafts that speak of the glorious history of their ancestors and the pride of succeeding generations.
